Bike Trackdays

If you’re thinking about booking your first Bike Trackday but you’re a little unsure as to what actually happens on a trackday then have a read below.

There are lots of different types of Bike Trackays,

Bike Trackday Midweek Open Sessions 10am – 5pm: This trackday has a maximum of 50 riders booked into it. It runs open pitlane from 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm. The benefit of an open session is that you can go out as and when you like, there are no groups.

Bike Track Nights 6pm – 8pm: The evening track nights are split into 2 groups; Novice/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced. We start on track at 6pm and generally run 15 minute sessions with the 2 groups. There are 30 riders in each group.

Bike Track Mornings 9am – 1pm: The Saturday morning sessions are split into 3 groups; Novice, Intermediate and Advanced, we start on track at 9am and run sessions of 15 minutes for the 3 groups until 1pm. There are 30 riders in each group.

Intro Bike Track Night 6pm – 8pm: The Intro night is ideal for anyone who has never taken part in a Bike Trackday. We limit the number of riders to 30 and run a 2 hour open session. This track night is for first timers only so you will be on track with other beginners. We also have 2 Pit Lane instructors on hand to help you with any questions or advice you might need. The open session gives you the freedom to go out as and when you like.

Niall MacKenzie Superbike School:  Suitable for all riders from novice to advanced. This trackday has track action all day with expert advice, tips and tuition from 3 times British Superbike Champion, Niall Mackenzie and friends!  Learn invaluable race craft techniques or bike set-up advice and there’ll be plenty of opportunity to chat to the instructors in the pit lane.  No speed cameras!  Just complete exhilaration! The Niall Mackenzie Superbike School track day is complete with breakfast and lunch.

We recommend the Intro Bike Track Night for first timers, this is a relaxed atmosphere with riders who are also new to trackdays. Riders can also book into the Novice sessions or into the Open session.

Car Trackdays

We run 2 types of Car Trackdays;

Hot Hatch Car Trackdays 9am – 5pm: On Hot Hatch days there are up to 6 groups running on the day and drivers are split into groups of road cars or track cars. Registration starts at 8am with the first safety briefing at 8.40am. Drivers are given a session number (1-6) which will be their allocated group for the day. Each session lasts approximately 10 minutes with up to 25 cars on track at once.

Car Trackday Open Session: We run Car Track Night open sessions in the summer from 6pm-8pm and 3 or 4 hour open sessions in the winter months. They run with a maximum of 50 cars open pitlane giving you the freedom to go out as and when you like.

If you have never driven on track and feel nervous about going straight into a Hot Hatch Day or Car Track Open Session we recommend a Performance Driving Course which helps improve your driving skills and confidence.

Performance Driving Course £125 - Top class instruction in your car. These driving courses are suitable for all drivers and all vehicles. Ideal if you want to learn new skills, improve your driving or prior to participating in a trackday! Call 01383 723 337 for dates and availability.
